This charming holiday house built in 1750 is in the little village of Couze-et-Saint Front in the Dordogne valley, between Bergerac and Sarlat. In the village we have many shoops : bred, food, vegetable, newspapers, bar and restaurants .The paper factories in this old village of paper makers are under heritage protection. The house is on a little street in the upper part of the village with simple transport connections and ensures independence, peace and quiet.Charming holiday house for 4 persons and a pets friends in the countryside in a hiostorical village with an idyllic terrace, an ideal starting point for exploring the Périgord region

The charmingly decorated house provides 65m² of living space for four people. The living room on the ground floor, which opens directly onto the terrace, has an authentic style, with stone walls and bleached wooden beams. It has a kitchen, equipped with a ceramic hob, coffee machine, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. The wood-burning stove next to the dining space provides pleasant warmth on cooler days during the low season. The dining space consists of a wooden table with four chairs and a crockery cupboard. The ground floor also has a separate toilet and a bathroom with a corner shower (90 x 90cm) and two washbasins with a wooden cupboard underneath. The upper floor has a private little living roomwith télévison, radio , WIFI and with plenty of light, as well as two bedrooms. These rooms are stylishly furnished with antique furniture and whitened wood, harmonising with the whitewashed walls. One bedroom has a double bed (140 x 190cm), a wardrobe and two bedside tables, while the second has two single beds (90 x 190cm), a wardrobe and two bedside tables. There is also a washing machine available.

In the house there is a lovely, enclosed terrace. It measures 30m² and was recently renovated, facing south-west. You can enjoy meals outdoors in this idyllic spot, or relax in the shade of the pergola in summer. You can park your car nearby on a public car park.

The house has Wifi everywhere and using the internet is free. You can stay with your pets

One restaurant and the bakery are within walking distance. You can shop at the little village shops, 2 bakeries, two grocery shops and a shop with regional produce. There are also a tobacconist and newspaper kiosk, a flower shop, two hairdressers, a post office, a pharmacy, a bike rental (2 km), a paper mill and a dentist. On Mondays there is a night market in town and on Fridays a french market takes place as well as an Irish night. The house is at the gateway to Périgord Noir and Périgord Pourpre, as an ideal starting point for exploring the landscape with its castles, villages and archaeological sites. Follow hiking trails bycycle and enjoy the Dordogne River canoe and a lake nearby.

    “Wir verbrachten wunderschöne Ferien in dem bezaubernden Haus mit Garten bei Madame C.. Madame hat uns liebevoll empfangen mit einer Flasche Bio-Wein aus der Region. Im Duschraum lag eine herrliche Lavendel-Seife. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet mit hübschen Details. Es fehlte an gar nichts. Auch unseren 2 kleinen Hunden gefiel es sehr gut. Der Garten war eingezäunt und in der Nähe gab es Bäche und Wiesen,
    ein kleines Paradies für Vierbeiner. Gerne assen wir im Garten unter den Bananenbäumen. Bestimmt werden wir wiederkommen. Und wenn es nicht so weit wäre (780 Km) viel öfter. Es gibt in der Nähe viele Städte mit schönen Geschäften und Märkten. Im Ort gute Bäckereien und Lebensmittel. Danke Madame C. es war eine unvergesslich Zeit.”

    “Das Haus, und Charme
    Freundlicher Empfang, die Vermieterin ist bei Problemen oder Fragen auch jederzeit telefonisch zu erreichen. Das Haus liegt im Dorf, hat aber durch die geschickt angelegte Terrasse viel Privatsphäre und Charme. Im Haus findet man alles, was man braucht, es ist sehr sauber und alle Elektrogeräte sind hochwertig und gepflegt! Wir kommen gerne wieder!”

    “Positiv: Le côté cosy de la maison et sa petite terrasse verdoyante. Negativ: Très difficile de se débarrasser de ses ordures ménagères.
    Il y a la possibilité pour le verre et les papiers dans les bennes communales mais pas le reste. La benne de la commune est verrouillée et payante. Il faut une carte pour pouvoir y accéder. Pas l'envie ni forcément le temps de se lancer dans cette procédure en vacances. Cette carte devrait être donnée avec les clefs par le loueur.”
