Apartments with a garden and a sea view

The apartment building is in the quiet little village of Podsolarsko near Solaris in the Sibenik region. Podsolarsko offers adventurers an excellent starting point for exploring the many gems of the Sibenik region.

There are several fully-furnished and equipped apartment of a three-star category, with a balcony, for three to five people. The shared garden has a barbecue and seating and space for children to play. There is ample parking space on site. Bicycles can be hired free of charge. Free wireless Internet access is available.

The owner family has a big ethnographical collection on their family farm in the inland area of Dalmatia, which you are welcome to visit. It comprises various tools and weapons used by our forefathers, such as a chair from the year 1850, a wax candle from the year 1790, and you can learn something about the traditions in the region.

The advantage of Podsolarsko is the proximity to the Solaris hotel complex, where you can enjoy spending time on beautiful beaches with a wide range of water sports and other activities for the whole family. It also has a first-class wellness centre with a range of treatments for body and soul. The village itself offers gastronomic delicacies in some renowned restaurants. Podsolarsko is just 4km from the town of Sibenik. Discover the beautiful medieval architecture, especially the St. Jacob Cathedral. The Mediterranean atmosphere can be felt on the market squares, streets, in bars and restaurants.

Šibenik stands out among Croatian cities by its unique position in the central part of Croatian Adriatic, in picturesque and spatious bay on the sunken estuary of Krka, the most beautiful karst river which is a national park for the most of its length.

This beautiful city of unique urban expression is connected to the open sea by the picturesque, narrow and winding St.Anthony’s Channel. Entrance to the channel is guarded by St.Nicholas’ Fortress, dating from Renaissance times, which together
with three other City fortresses – St.Michael’s, St.John’s and Šubićevac, stands as a symbol of centuries-old continued resistance of Šibenik, and one of the three such fortifications in the Mediterranean.

The most important monument in Šibenik, well-known in European architecture and registered in UNESCO World Heritage Sites List is definitely the Cathedral of St.James from 15th and 16th centuries. Five generations worked on this building for more than one hundred years to create perfect proportions and an impression that it was cast from one piece of stone. Šibenik Cathedral is the only such building in Europe made exclusively out of stone, without using binding plaster and wooden construction elements. Together with the Renaissance City Hall and surrounding churches, palaces and Rector’s Palace, nowadays home of the County Museum, it makes one of the most beautiful squares in Croatian heritage of urban architecture.

Šibenik is the city with 24 churches, six monasteries, four fortresses, the attractive „Four Water-Wells“ not far from the Cathedral, 2851 stone City stairs, the largest number of Baroque organs, and the Medieval Monastery Garden of St.Lawrence – the only one of a kind in Croatia.

Wonderful Šibenik Archipelago consists of 242 islands, islets, reefs and cliffs with only ten settlements on the islands. The most known among them are Zlarin – island of coral divers, Krapanj – island of spongers and Prvić, residence of noblemen from Šibenik.

On the other side, Šibenik hinterland hides five rivers, three large and ten smaller lakes, five mountains, one national park, two nature parks and eight waterfalls.

International Children’s Festival, long tourist tradition because of which many guests from all over the world spend their holidays here, rich enological and gastronomical offer with unique sort of wine Babić, that is produced out of grapes coming from well-known Primošten vineyards and is one of the red wines of highest quality in Croatia, are all witnesses to the live and modern creativity of Šibenik.

This modern apartment is on the third floor and can accommodate four people. The air-conditioned living room features a dining table with chairs, an LCD TV with satellite channels, and a small kitchen unit with a hob, fridge, microwave and coffee machine. The bedroom room comprises a double bed, a wardrobe and a sofa that can be converted into a bed for two more persons. The bathroom has a shower, washbasin and toilet.

    “Wir verbrachten wundervolle 16 Tage in der Ferienwohnung. Der Vermieter, der gut Englisch und Deutsch spricht, war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Sibenik hat eine sehenswerte kroatische Altstadt, wir besuchten dort einen Klappa-Abend, der jeden Donnerstag kostenlos für die Besucher angeboten wird. Ein Ausflug mit dem Schiff von Murter aus in den Nationalpark der Kornaten ist ein Muss. Die Strände in Zaplace, Bilo, Primosten sind sehr zu empfehlen sowie die Insel Krapanj, auf die man für einen 1,30 mit einer kleinen Fähre gelangt. Von der Kapelle des Ortes Tripunj hat man einen tollen Blick auf die Adria, auch hier ist der Strand wunderschön. Jedoch muss man hier besonders auf Seeigel achten. Besuchen sollte man auch das Drachenauge in Rogoznica und das sich dort in der Nähe befindende Kap Punta Planka, wo die stürmische südliche und die sanfte nördliche Adria aufeinander treffen. Einfach eine wunderschöne Auszeit mit vielen Erlebnissen und Eindrücken!
    Die immer weiter steigenden Preise in Kroatien werden es allerdings in Zukunft Familien mit Kindern schwer machen, einen zweiwöchigen Urlaub in diesem traumhaften Land zu verbringen.”

    “Einmal und nie wieder.

    Also, wo soll ich anfangen?
    Die Vermieter sind sehr nett. Sauber war unsere Ferienwohnung auch bis auf das tote Getier in der Badezimmerlampe. Die angegebene Größe von 40qm passt mal gar nicht es sei denn man rechnet den Balkon mit ein. Es waren auch keine Fahrräder vorhanden.
    Laut Beschreibung solltet im Quartier eine Kaffeemaschine, Toaster und ein Wasserkocher sein von dem ist nichts vorhanden. Wir bekamen erst auf Nachfrage wenigstens einen Wasserkocher. Laut Vermieter hat er zu viele Gäste. In der Wohnung fehlen auch die einfachsten Dinge wie ein Besen und Handfeger mit Kehrblech. Letzteres haben wir dann noch besorgt und in der Wohnung bei Abreise belassen.
    Einen Spülschwamm und Waschtücher haben wir auch besorgt und da gelassen.

    Unser Fazit lautet eine kleine Wohnung, wo es an allem Fehlt.”
